This costume was made on a whim. I had some furry fabric scraps and about an hour to kill before leaving for A-kon '00....so I decided to whip up a Lum costume ^_-. It was a good one to wear in Texas during the summertime. A little over a year later I wore it again at AWA for a small Urusei Yatsura group including myself, Alisa as Ran-chan, and my sister Hollis as Benten! Thanks so very much to Alisa for loaning me her green wig!!!
TOP: I covered a strapless bra with fur, and dyed the stripes onto it.
BOTTOMS: I made my own pattern for these, and then dyed on the stripes.
BOOTS: I covered some old shoes with fur, and dyed on the stripes.
HORNS: These were originally made for a Halloween costume (and don't look anything like Lum's actual horns). They are made of bisqued clay. I attached a shoelace to them so that they can sit upon my head.
EARS: I cut the tips off of some "Alien Ears" that I bought at a costume shop, and attached them to my ears with spirit gum.
WIG: Borrowed from Alisa.
