Ok, Breath of Fire is one of older RPG's that I LOVE! (super nes ftw!) I had always wanted to do Nina, but my sister, SailorGaia, urged me to do Bleu as more of a challenge. And anyway, a forgetful kick ass sorcerer with blue hair is kind of hard to pass up! ^.~

Well, this is a costume where one picture of it can tell a thousand words. The amount of detailing I put into it was overwhelming, but of course the only problem was that you can't see half of it when it's all on!! >.@

I studied the very few amount of pictures for this gal relentlessly and made sure everything was exact--right down to the number of green beads she had. I used moleskin and lined it with red taffeta for the top and purchased an imprinted snake patterned fabric for the bottom, which I then painted myself. The wig was styled at the hotel ^^;;

As for my staff, which I dubbed "retarded fish frog" I purchased an ornate table leg for the bottom and built off of it with sculpey. It's all hand sculpted by yours truly, and let me tell you it was a BITCH to try and bake! --_--

My largest problem with this was that I was so concerned with getting all the little things done that I screwed up so much on the large things. For example, I thought it would be just fine to depend on double sided tape for the top. WRONG. Double sided tape apparently HATES taffeta.... I ended up DUCT TAPING MYSELF IN! Let me tell you this, NEVER DO THAT! Ripping it off took off so much skin it was ridiculous!

So... yeah, that's Bleu. Another cosplay I can hang in the closet and sigh because I'll probably never be able to fix it apropriately for another go at a con T-T
