I made this costume due to just adoring Narsus and also because it was one of the first real anime videos I'd ever watched. I decided that to do it right, I had to use "quilted" or cloth armor because the character was a strategist and the images I had to work from didn't seem to suggest he was wearing a rigid breastplate. So, I made the breastplate out of quilted batting overlaid with material and edged with a decorative ribbon. I made the scrolling decoration with dimensional fabric paint and then painted them with gold leafing paint. I made the pants, the shirt, and the sashes out of cotton. I even made earrings to go with the costume. ^_~ The only part I regret about the original boots is that I couldn't get them exactly right and the way I made them just wasn't very good. Knowing now how to make them work better, I've redone them.
