Vicomte Raoul de Chagny
Last Updated: 08-06-2007
I recently did a quick stock photo shoot for deviantArt, and crossplayed as Raoul, the Vicomte de Chagny from The Phantom of the Opera. I quickly threw together three ensembles which include: riding attire, day attire, and evening attire.
This costume consists of a double breasted tailcoat (which in my case is a shadbelly, as it's known in the horse world. I ride, show, and hunt as part of my job, so I had this specialized coat sitting around), canary hunting vest, stock tie with pin, riding breeches, and riding boots. There is a bowler hat featured in the photos, but ideally it'd be a top hat. Hey, I had a half-hour, so I made due!
I used the shadbelly again here, with a black waistcoat, formal trousers, wing collar tuxedo shirt, and a black four-in-hand tie.
I used my formal tailcoat (featured in my Phantom costume) with the matching formal trousers, wing collar tuxedo shirt, white tie, and buff colored waistcoat complete with pocketwatch.
