I originally made a version of this costume back in 2006, needless to say it was awful and after wearing it for several hours I wanted to throw it away XD I wanted to remake it ever since and after becoming a bit more skilled with craftsmanship, I attempted it again, luckily knowing how to fix all the mistakes I had made previously. I used the same ol' PVC because I like the color regardless of the surprisingly frequent amount of bitching I get from people about it needing to be purple...
I made the bra from old underwire and made the rest of the outfit with tons of boning. I topstitched it all in because I love me some topstitching...and there are visible seams on Motoko's outfit. The black is simply cotton which snaps in the crotch...the whole top is held on me with a clear bra strap to get that gravity defying Motoko cleavage.
The belt has peltex in the front for the "buckle" and snaps on. The thigh highs are super skin tight, so they stayed up miraculously well on their own (though bending my knees was completely impossible...I walked like a zombie Motoko). The tops of the thigh highs snap on and have foam in them. The shin guard thingies are peltex and have black cotton straps.
Probably my most interesting task for this costume was making a ridiculous thong for it! It had to come really high so it would hide under the top to avoid being seen. The thong and then black cotton were taped to me at every conceivable place though which made trying to sit quite an amusing site (I had to fall backwards into chairs and lie across several...you can imagine I wasn't happy when someone came and asked for a picture right after I'd gotten "comfortable")

The wig is a medium to dark purple, though it sadly looks darker in some pictures than it really is...I have added a whole ton of wefts to the wig so I'm looking forward to getting new pictures of the costume soon!
