I've been looking over the old costumes that I have listed on here, mainly Bianca and Madeleine, and I think it's time to get something done for those two.
First off, Bianca. I did a bit of research, and I think I'm ready to finish this gown. It's been sitting in my to-be-finished pile for so long that I can't even remember what I originally had planned for it, but now I think I've figured out a design that'll be true to the character, and still be historically accurate. I'm going to wait until after A-fest to work on it, though, since I still haven't finished Integral (and now I'm doing two versions of Integra!) and there are some other things that I need to work on to get finished for the Con.
As for Madeleine, all I really need to do with her is find the wig and take some decent pictures. I think I'm also going to wait on that until after A-fest, but I haven't decided yet. I need to make sure I still fit into it (I made it 7 years ago, after all) and check all the seams to make sure they're still alright. I know I'll probably go back over all of them with my serger, because that taffeta frayed. Allot. I also need to scout some locations...I don't think just taking pictures in the park like I usually do is going to cut it with this costume. I'd really like to find some place that looks like the airwell in the movie, but I'm not holding my breath. I've found a few fashion photos that are really cool, so I kind of want to try and get something similar to them. Za.
As far as progress, I found myself a great wig on ebay for $25, so hopefully that'll be in soon. I'm going to work on getting both my versions of Integral finished up by then. Yes, I decided to do another version of her. It was last minute, of course, for the Formal Cosplay Ball at A-fest. I have a black&silver Mardi Gras mask that I want to wear to the ball, so I thought that Integral's black suit from the OVA would be perfect. Well, Dad and I hit Goodwill today, and I walked out with not one, but two black blazers. Unfortunately, I didn't find any slacks, but I didn't exactly try that hard. I'll probably scrape together a few dollars and head back in the next couple of days and do some searching, since I don't own any trousers. At all. So, it's not like I can go into my closet and pull something out. :-/
I'm looking forward to taking Integral pics. ^^ I'm really pleased with the wig I found (hopefully it's as nice as it looks). I came across Solid&Etc's Hellsing fanart, and I want to stage some pics that look like those artworks. They really are fantastic. ^^
