Finishing up stuff and blabing.

I finished my Euphemia costume yesterday! I am SERIOUSLY excited to be wearing it in a few weeks. It looks clean (especially the green piece) and it's comfortable. My wig came in last week and Vanessa sewed hair clips inside the buns to help keep them in place. My only problem(s) now is that I hope I won't melt in it and that my wig doesn't go batshit on me, being that it's already sort of a mess. What's left is to make my choker and buy some red shoes.

Maya is pretty much done. Styrofoam beads have been paper mâché'd and painted minus one and Vanessa is making my magatama because the one I made isn't good enough for her. LoL This is MY COSTUME dammit!! I bought some of that motions oil spray and sprayed down an old wig for practice. It seems alright, although I should get a brush for good measure, but I should be a~sprayin Maya wig this week. Long wigs are long and I am making sure to NEVER cosplay someone with extremely long hair again. Too much of a hassle with tangles.

Olette just needs shoes painted and wig brushed. I forgot my picture the last time I went to Vanessa's to paint and now the materials are over there so I'll have to wait until this weekend to do it.

Natalia is the last costume left to be finished. With a little less than 4 weeks, I don't think it'll be finished in time and I already want to start over anyways because of that god-awful unnecessary seam near the bust. I also want to use some better fabric now that there's some ACTUALLY AVAILABLE at Hancocks. The boot covers need to be....well, they need to be something because they're looking pretty awful right now. My wig...I was stupid enough to get a wig with no bangs so now I have to do them myself. ( I make an awful blond anyways.) The shoulder thingy hasn't been started yet. Ugh....I don't think I'll bother.

I'm so damn proud of myself! Yes, almost everything was a joint project with a friend but I did most of the sewing myself with helpful instructions. The exception of a few things (some zippers, reading/altering patterns and extreme complicated sewing techniques I could NOT fucking understand...yet lol) I did it myself! Woo!

For the future, I'm thinking about cosplaying Kagura in a street outfit that I've wanted for a long time. Now I have a better understanding of patterns I could probably do it with no problems. I want her yellow outfit with the white jacket. I already have the Kyo backpack Nikki made years ago. It would be perfect for fall plus, it would be nice to do one last outfit before I leave for BMT.

Ok. That's it for now.
