So, I've been keeping a little mini-journal of Project Link since I started it in May, and now that I've set up this nifty little account, I've decided to post what I've written since I began working on it:

Current Project: arm pads/bracer- I have decided to use soft, stretchy leather with an inner cotton padding for the arm pads. I'm still trying to decide which is the best sewing method, but I am going to sew two halves together for each arm pad.

Current Project: shield

I haven't been working much on the suit, since I've been spending most of my time at work, but on the few days I have been able to work on it, I have been working on my shield. I've put cloth and the handle on the back, and I've covered the front with leather, which I have been putting a couple of base coats of paint on to even up its texture. I decided to make the rim and fittings out of wood for now and to use these pieces later to make a mold for casting in aluminum.
