AnimeNEXT 2008 really is around the corner and my bestest of best AN friends are going as one huge group this year! It's a huge Okami group. And I LOVE Okami but I really don't know if I can pull the money out of thin air so I can cosplay Sakuya. I'm not one to half ass a cosplay and for Sakuya I would need cotton fabric, dye, and cord/rope. I'm not saying it would be a $200 cosplay or anything but it's out of my budget as of right now because I had to buy six fricken gloomy bears at AnimeBoston! My bad >.>
So now it comes down to "can I cram the money?" On top of the fact that my boyfriends birthday is right before I have to leave for the convention and I feel awful about that. I don't want to be sewing a costume on his birthday that would just be unfair and I wouldn't want him to do that to me so that's out of the question.
AND I figure if I don't get the funds and time for Sakuya this is the second year my friends are doing Okami in some form.
On top of that fact if I don't do Okami's Sakuya I'm pretty sure I would throw together a Witch cosplay from Left 4 Dead which would be a nice relief after doing Freya which was a pain in the ass to get in and out of. The Witch would be easy, take no room in packing, and I wouldn't sweat my non-existent balls off.
But still at the end of the day I don't want to be the only person not cosplaying Okami
I don't know....
I still have a small amount of time to think it over.
If I do the witch I would want to hunt down a wig even if it's a cheap one.... if I did Sakuya I would need to buy materials but I could probably get away with recycling my old black wig from Rocky Horror...
Ugh! I just don't know there are so many good points to each option!
