DONE! Spent a few nights this week putting the finishing touches on my second Master Roshi costume.
After trying a few different things with the finished turtle shell, I ended up painting it by hand. Straps from 2 of my laptop bags have been attached to the inside and appear to work very well to hold it in place in the right position on my back.
Orange Kung Fu shirt. I'm satisfied with it for the most part. When combined with the shell, staff and Roshi facial hair, it seems to work and be recognizable for the character.
I spent a while in the local watershed forest to find my staff. I think it is a very good staff for the character. Sturdy, thick and has a nice knot at the top. It will definitely give me a few more poses to do so that I don't kill my legs with the Master Roshi squat.
I'm looking forward to the reactions at Anime Evolution. TOMORROW.
