There are only four more months until Youmacon 2008. I am debuting two new costumes and bringing one back from last year. I think the one that is going to turn out the best is Gaara (Naruto Shippuuden) I have everything ready for his costume, all but his gourd, which I am making out of inflatable balls and fiber glass. I've never seen it done this way (usually papier-mâché is used) so I hope it works. Papier-mâché doesn't seem very stable to me. Also, I am going to take the balls out so that it's hallow, and lighter to carry. Just yesterday I finished sewing the zippers onto his shoes, so that's out of the way. Mitsukuni Haninozuka (Hunny of Ouran High School Host Club) is my other debut costume. I'm pretty much done with him. And I'm bringing back Kiba (Naruto) this one last time before I retire his costume. Otherwise, my costumes are done. Four months is a long time, I know, but I just like getting things done early.
