So, less than two weeks to Otakon and I've decided that no, I'm not happy with the wig and I'm going to completely restyle it. Oh yeah, that's totally a good idea...thankfully I'm not working much this week!

Also, I'm actually going to properly crossplay for once! I found a billion ACE bandages in my bathroom closet while looking for a way to fix my sprained ankle, so yay. I love when cosplay involves things I can find in my house. Like my collared shirt for this! My mom found it in the attic and I squeed in happiness.

This was seriously the cheapest cosplay EVER until I started buying cards. The t-shirt was $4, jeans were $12, the wig was $40 including the wig cap, and my mom paid for the shoes because she decided I needed new sneakers. My girlfriend made the sennen ring and the paint was like...$5, and will last forever. We've made four other items and we're only about halfway through the pain. Thankfully I'm able to borrow a duel disk from my younger brother's friend (!!!) and then...the cards happened. I've easily spent $20+ on ebay in the past couple days just buying a few. It's so bad.

But I should have Dark Necrofear and the destiny board cards before Otakon, which is very good. On the plus side I already have Change of Heart, which lives in my wallet at all times. AND my brother, skilled ceramics person that he is, will probably make me a little white mage Ryou figure! ahhh I'm so happy!

I have to style a Yami Yugi wig before this all though, which is scary. I have to dye part of it and sew in wefts...this will be so challenging! But I'm pretty excited. It will definitely eat my time for a few days :3
