Except, not really. :3
Though, it's definitely the most difficult thing I've had to do so far! I've never worked with insulation foam before this, nor have I had to make a weft using Stitch Witchery. So it's introducing me to a few new techniques to add to my arsenal.
I spent the afternoon cutting out and sanding the individual pieces for the wings, which can be seen here: http://www.cosplay.com/photo/1525861/. I'm not sure what order I'm going to proceed in, though. I can't decide if I should attach the foam to the hair tail and then coat it with Bondo, or vice versa. See, I need to attach the pieces to each other before coating them, but they need to be on the hair tail to attach them because there's no way I'll be able to slide them on.
Hm... I think I'll attach them first. Problem solved~!
Now I just need to go to JoAnn's and grab that darned Stitch Witchery so that I can make the weft. (This also means I need to start styling the wig. Ohhh boy.) I'll probably go tomorrow.
And then there's the boots. I need to order a pair from ElectricBoutique, sand them, and then paint them navy blue. I know exactly how I'll do all of this - the problem is actually ordering the boots. Mom might not be too happy about me ordering something from a site that sells, uh, more risque clothing, too.
No idea if the Gullwing Keyblade will be done in time for JAFAX, either. (And is it sad that I'm already worrying that Marluxia won't be done for Youmacon? Ugh.)
This costume is turning out to be a lot more trouble than I thought it would! D:
