ROTS Darth Vader

Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of th

Current Progress for outift:

Nothing much has been done yet, but here's the current progress:

-Cape was so outstanding first time around, that it's being used a second time. The fabric consists of a black suede that I found for dirt-cheap at some fabric store. The end result is an extremely accurate, heavy cape that made me feel epic when I was at a park in London at night, it was really windy and it was bonfire night. I will be doing some minimal modifications to the cape this time though, and I will be getting it dry-cleaned.

-I already have some Rubies' pleather Darth Vader gloves, but they seem to be slightly worn because pleather sucks, so I may try to make some new gloves out of real leather...or go on eBay.

-Still own a Rubies' Darth Vader lightsaber. Although it is probably the worst lightsaber I have ever owned, it is still actually fairly accurate in terms of shape, thus the only reason I bought it. I only use it for when I'm walking around without the electronic saber (edit: I had a Vader force action lightsaber, but that somehow broke ages ago. Now I have a Master Replicas ForceFX Construction saber, which I have built to look like Darth Vader's...which also happens to be how it's like when you open the box for it. So I will be using the MR saber for dueling and walking around with.)

- When my mom visited San Antonio, Texas for a conference, she went to a few stores to bring back souvenirs. She came back with these odd-tasting chocolate sweets called Cow-Patties...nice. Anyways I immediately noticed that interestingly the packaging seemed very similar to Vader's belt boxes, so I measured them (I had two of these). They were both in scale to the real deal, so I will be using these. I assume that they are made from some sort of planed wood (pine?). They are a little rough, but I can sand them well and give them a few coats of paint and they'll be more than perfect; they open as well like the actual Belt Box containers so that means I will be able to put some electronics in these belts for the first time ever, well for me anyways. I'm not really an electronics sort-of person, but I will definitely be trying that for this final version.

-Will be ordering this impressive-looking Darth Vader supreme edition helmet I seen on amazon.com for an incredible $49.78, which means I'll be saving around $70, although it says it's $132.77 off. Thank God for Amazon!!!
