So far, we are definitely going to be attending 3 conventions - Megacon, MidSouthCon, and Dragoncon!
We may try to squeeze another smaller one in somewhere in the summer, who knows
I haven't really got a definite list of when I'm going to make what costumes, though. I'm really playing it by ear! Here's what I want to work on over the next year:
1. Silk Spectre I (Watchmen) - I've already started on this, I'll definitely have it ready for Megacon
2. Golden Age Black Canary (DC Comics) - I've started shopping around for materials for this, I'd love to have it finished for Megacon but we'll see.
3. Bespin Leia (Star Wars) - I've had this partly done for a long time - I want to work on the embroidery over this year so hopefully it'll be ready in 2010.
4. Belle's Ballgown remake (Beauty and the Beast) - I've been putting it off, because my husband wanted to wait til we got moved to start working on his Beast remake. So hopefully we'll have it done this coming year.
5. Another Wonder Woman (DC Comics) - which, I don't know! I just have a lot of fun working on the different variations.
6. Princess Nuala (Hellboy II) - I'd love to do her blue dress - I'll have to see if I have time for it though.
7. Belle's Christmas Dress (Beauty & the Beast Enchanted Christmas) - So I have a full set of Belle costumes
8. Magik (New Mutants) - I don't know which of her outfits I want to do yet. She's a character I've wanted to do for a long time though.
9. Dawn (Dawn) - I had an original Dawn costume I was trying to do for Dragoncon 2007, but I had to put it aside to finish everything else, so I want to finish it this next year.
10. Poison Ivy (Batman) - another version. The leaf-bodice was fun but not terribly original, I thought I'd try one of her green-skinned variations
11. Psylocke (X-Men) - just thought this might be fun.
12. Rogue (X-Men) - something I've wanted to do for forever. One day I'll get to it!
13. Marie Antoinette - I can dream can't I! LOL I would really love to do this, we'll see.
I also got a beautiful new top hat for my Zatanna costume for Christmas - I'd really love to use it with another costume, so I'm looking for another costume idea for that! Any suggestions?
For Megacon I'm planning on bringing:
Silk Spectre I
Golden Age Black Canary (if I finish it, if not my modern Black Canary)
Starfire (comic version)
Sleeping Beauty
Zatanna
I've never been so I'm not making any kind of schedule as to what I'm wearing when! I'm really excited!
