Have The Suit, Just Need The Details Finished.

Step 1: Acquire an actual pair of Ray-Ban Wayfarers or equivalent. (Found the info off a Blues Brothers site out there. I guess eBay is my hope for now.)

Step 2: Get the proper hat. I believe Jake's is a dark brown, as opposed to Elwood's being a black hat.

Step 3: Apparently I don't get around too much - Thin black ties don't seem to be in style much these days. I've always wondered if I had what it takes to create one myself.

Step 4: Hook up with someone to be Elwood.

Step 5: Saving this for one more trip back to Anime Central - Whenever I get there...

Notes for "Version 3.0 Director's Cut" - The long-planned revision and actual Char version.

Step 1: Waiting until I drop about 20 pounds or so. (in other words, about 50 pounds below my heaviest weight, back in March 2007, I'm about 20 pounds below that now. Time to get back on to the wagon after falling off.)

Step 2: Reference as much resource material as I can get my hands on, including what I have, even referencing styles of costumes from MS Igloo.

Step 3: Road trips to military/surplus stores to research actual military uniforms to get an idea of how they're constructed. (Fabric types/choices, and how everything's attached and designed.)

Step 4: Do what I know works, figure out how to do something if the first attempts don't work.

Step 5: The most important - Develop the actual Mobile Suit Gundam variant. (Along with all associated costume props, including eventually the face mask and helmet, as well as a new belt.)

Step 6: Most likely acquiring proper boots, even if they're from the Cosworx store. (Found one good candidate pair that may run up to my shoe size - Mens' 11)

Most likely, I'll start with remaking the cape. I did the cape way back at the beginning of my sewing journey. exposed unfinished edges don't really work it anymore. I'd say I'm capable of being able to sew something together and turn it rightside out, as well as work on getting the points poked out.

Will list more notes on "Version 3.0 Directors' Cut" as I can think them up.
