Fandomania

Weeeee. So just to let you guys know I'm gonna be writing for Fandomania.com, and my first little article that is up has some cosplay.com members featured.

Cosmode 24

Martina Zoana Mel Navratilova
Slayers NEXT
Yes! Finally got a copy, and will be scanning in the Cosplay.com page tomorrow for everyone. I also finally have pictures of my Martina costume that was made in 2 days so I could get my ass out to Chicago and shoot with the lovely Julia. And she made my armor so I didn't have to make it and risk it getting shipped out there.

We had to shoot in the rain. Stupid rain. I live in Vegas, I do not remember what rain is like. Then I remembered it was wet. Very wet.

Maybe I shouldn't post things when on my headache meds.

Jetlag slows me down

Well, this jetlag from Japan is kicking my ass. Add in a little vomit and disorientation due to the painkillers for my migraines, and you have the makings of an epic weekend! But I must work through it. I leave Wednesday morning for Dragon*con/South Carolina. I am most likely only going to have one new costume for D*C, but it's to go with my boyfriends fantastically awesome costume he made so I'm excited about it. I more just want to get some cool photos and then do the hanging out thing.

So far I've spent probably 4 days on this wig. The rest of the costume isn't started yet, but shouldn't take long. It's the wig that's important. I hope it stays on my head.

Then when I return from D*C, I have to immediately start on another costume for a photoshoot. Then once that's done, maybe I'll catch a break! Woohoo! And maybe a nap from all this travel/work/craziness.

Braiding hell!

I've spent 3 days braiding a wig and extensions for one of my Dragon*con costumes. And I still have probably another day of braiding. Then I have to, you know, make the rest of the costume. LOL!

I'll be at Otakon running the Cosworx booth, so make sure you stop by! Then 2 days after I get back, I leave for Japan from Comiket and the Cosplay.com party in Tokyo. Then a week after I get back is Dragon*con. I am going to be so dead.

Impulse

Don't you hate when you suddenly want to make a costume, get halfway through, and then have to wait on getting a bunch of stuff like shoes, fabric, ect? I hate having to wait for fabric to ship from across the country. You'd think living in Vegas, we'd have these things! Plus I have to get a gun holster which I know nothing about. >_< I vow to have this done by next week!
