Progress, Real Hair, and Next Convention..

Weee!
The Christmas costume is all done! Yesterday I added the stars and decorations, finished the tiny hat and did the rings. Today Im just going to finish sharpie dyeing the wig so its the shade of purple I want and then most probably tomorrow Ryo_ will come over and do the pics....
They wont be posted until December!!

Im looking forward to using my real hair for a costume, so today Im gonna put the old style rollers and see how it ends up. If it looks crappy, the hell with it, Ill buy a wig, but I really have hopes that under the right styling, it will look even better than with a wig.

If it comes out right, maybe Ill post a surprise progress pic (Im all about surprises)

And about Maya, she is quite ready too, but she will have her pictures taken until maybe two more weeks. I'm so excited!! I put the costume on for a bit and was soo happy with the overall look. Maybe Ill take to Animex for the Saturday... hmmm *associates the post to Animex*

Kisses!

Photoshoot: What you prefer.

Uhm...
Maya is almost finished.... Something like 90 percent (I have to update that on my costume page)
Ryo_ and I have been thinking for ideas of the photoshoot (besides the obligatory poses)...
Until now we have just decided it will probably be on white background... I think.
We need to get those white light bulbs set up, I am so new at this indoor photos thing!
I just adore it when we find a perfect place and the pictures totally fit and the lighting and shadows and everything just WORKS.
But I have to admit some photoshoots WORK when everything is controlled, and they look so gorgeous.
I guess its just about finding good things in both, right now outside its too hot and I get out of work when the light is all messed up and we cant take pictures....
Wow, its like Im pretending I know what Im talking about.

XD

What do you prefer, indoor-studio shoots, or outdoor-location shoots?

Progress & Guess the character!

Yesterday was a heavy progress day on the Christmas costume! (Yes, I did it, I DID start on it on July)
With a combination of watching Devil Wears Prada and the blessed AC on high, I got into sewing and sewing and sewing until the progress reached 70%. My sewing machine behaved very well, sewing the fluffly trim like butter =0
I still dont want to reveal the character, its a little premature (and ridiculous, that its a Christmas costume) but I will provide a hint if anyone mentally wants to try:

When did this happen? And Cosplay Anticipation

So I am checking my costumes and uploading one picture and suddenly the journals are open?
This is so good n.n
I will admit that I am not the kind of person that keeps up to track on other sites (I try harder at my site, this site, and another two sites) and even like that I fall behind on pictures and costumes updated..
But I like this feeling, its already on a site I use and also its SIMPLE (thank god I dont get asked for my mood all the time) and friendly. Just a big text box and write.

Right now Im on school vacations (Im writing from work) and I have a lot of time to sew on the afternoons. I decided rather unconsciously to start working on my christmas costume today.
CHRISTMAS COSTUME.
JULY 16.
Ryo_ flipped XD

Its just Im looking so forward to it, that I wanna start, finish, and maybe take pictures with it already. I might even pester my mom to let me take out some X-Mas decorations to take the pictures already. God forbid it happens like last year, that I took the pictures the 22nd I think.

Has anybody felt this much anticipation?
Well, happy reading I guess.
