Only took me, what, four years? (Though they didn't have the journal function when I joined, so TAKE THAT! ;P)
I've been meaning to make use of this thing for ages, but alas. My overall activity on this website has never been very high, and it completely dropped off a few months ago due to school, work, general laziness, etc., so I suppose my lack of journal activity hardly makes a difference (not that anyone even cared in the first place). HOWEVER, all of that is going to change...as soon as Sakura-Con's over. xD;;; As the title would suggest, that's actually why I'm posting.
I recently realized that I haven't created any sort of "official" schedule/plans for Sakura-Con--or at least haven't posted those plans anywhere that my cosplaying acquaintances or just interested in parties (I'm flattering myself here, I know) could look them up--and figured it was time to rectify that. SAKURA-CON 2009 COSTUMES
Thursday (Pre-reg) :: Alfred/USA [Axis Powers Hetalia]
Friday :: Zuko [Avatar: The Last Airbender] (Season 3 outfit; w/ friend as Mai <3)
Saturday :: Squall Leonhart [Final Fantasy VIII] (Mini-group cosplay! =D)
Sunday :: Sailor Venus [Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon] (Manga version w/ Sealing Sword)
The days for each costume are subject to change, though the costumes themselves are not. This is how I'm hoping things will work out, but when it comes to conventions, even the best laid plans more often then not get thrown out the window. >__>
As for the making of said costumes, it's the same story every year: one month left, and not even halfway finished. xD; Despite this, I'm still confident that we can get everything done (and get it done well), but we're going to have to bust some serious ass, and will be busy in all likelihood right up until con. So I predict no more major updates or new entries until April.
Once SC is over, though, you can bet I'll be spamming pictures like nobody's business, including posting several new costumes on here. (I'll also probably overhaul how I have everything arranged in my gallery and such, because it's been agitating my OCD-formatting tendencies.) Look forward to it, or something like that.
I'll stop typing now, because this entry ceased to be any kind of interesting about two paragraphs ago. =D;
