Back in the States for a few months~

With all my clothes in the wash, I raided my sister's closet this morning and found this jacket that I'd completely forgotten about. My sister made some comment about how this was the Ringo jacket and reminded me that I'd brought my glasses home the last time I came back, so we decided to do a mini-photoshoot for practice.

I remember seeing this jacket at Target right around when the anime came out thinking that it looked like something Ringo would wear. I'd always wanted to cosplay Ringo from Air Gear, but I never got around to making any of her clothes. I'd gotten the glasses right after I moved to Japan because I was planning on making that hat of hers that I liked so much at one point, but I never really made that, either ^^;

I'm not planning to wear it to any cons or anything, but it was fun just to be able to literally pull a cosplay out of my closet. Plus I wanted to try the fake eyelashes I'd bought in Japan to wear for cosplaying

I'm leaving Japan in two days, and I finally got my wig for Feldt yesterday ^^;;; I'm just glad it made it in time. I still have a lot of packing to do, and some final cosplay supplies to grab, and maybe one last stop at Animate to mull over whether or not I want a real Haro to go with my Feldt... and see if there's anything I want to pick up before I leave for Moyashimon...

AX is gonna be hard this year... We somehow ended up with eight cosplays... actually, I have nine, because I'm doing both Shiba and DL3 Gakuto for PoT. But we have cosplays from eight series, anyway. And we're only going to be there for three days, leaving early two of those days... I don't even want to think about how we're going to get all the changes we need to get done without access to a hotel room since we're commuting... At least most of my cosplays aren't that complicated... but Nia's dress is long, and DL3 has lots of pieces. and it looks like Soul Eater will also have a number of pieces, but that's still in the planning stages.

Other than the cosplays I have listed in my profile so far, I'm also doing Sawaki from Moyashimon (for my sister's goth-loli Kei) and Black☆Star from Soul Eater (with my sister as Tsubaki). And Yin from Darker than Black (for my sister's Hei). I've only got the wigs for those right now, and not much else, and the wigs are at home in L.A., so I won't be able to try them until I get back.

It's only my third con... why does it feel like I've been to a lot more...?

Also, I want to do some non-con photoshoots when I get back to the States... I want to get some better shots of our Yakitate cosplays, and do a quick Dennou Coil photoshoot for practice posing (for me, taking pictures for my sister). Not sure when those will actually happen, though...
