Depending on what the costume means to me, I decide whether I make it or buy it. Ones I want to spend a lot of time on and have an attachment to, I'll most likely make myself (personal skill always comes into account too...) But if I just want to buy it quick before a con, or have a friend make it, meh... cool.

At this point I can barely sew. I can work a machine ok I guess, but patterns and fabric... the lot confuse me. I have friends that are a great help though. As of now, I don't have many contacts for any of my costumes (I somehow always pic characters with eyes that define them too... -_-) But I'll collect them over time.

I'm very particular with wigs too. You wouldn't find me dead in a "Highlighter" wig. If you know what I mean.

I always bind. Unless I'm supposed to be womens

And I try my damndest to stay in character.

I'm a firm believer in cosplaying WHO you want because YOU want to. People that yell at others because of their body weight, color, or disablity should gtfo. But I'm also a believer in "Don't wear a skimpy outfit if you are packing weight in uncomfortable areas"
It comes down to common sense as well...

Lots of people have the belief that only asians do good cosplay... Yeah... no. You've only seen the good asians who cosplay. There are plenty of people who have shitty premades, bad wigs, and out of character attitudes in the far east too. And they do use photoshop....

The majority of the rest of my info is on my front page too, so you can see it to find out even more about me. I'm really into meeting tons of people at conventions and staying friends. I've got a dozen close buddies from numerous cons, and I always love hello's from those who don't know me too! Critiquing is always great as well, I won't feel insulted!
