i have 3 purple leather hides to sell. they are pig leather and i would place then at around 4-5 oz. the finish is not super shiny but there is some sheen. they have plenty of scuffs on them and due to the thickness, scuffs, and inability to stretch, i would say they are best used for some kind of armor. they are compared to a yard stick in the pictures
