Description: All right, so here's the deal. Recently I made a prop for my Fai (Tsubasa) cosplay. A lot of learning and experimenting went into the said prop, despite it having to be rushed to be finished. None the less, I've gained enough confidence to build myself a new prop, but in the meantime, I have the first one sitting around and collecting dust.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is my Fai staff. I'm not selling the entire staff, but rather just the staff head. I've only had it for one convention (Sakura Con), and it's quite sturdy.

This is the staff head itself. The measurements are as follows:

Length from the left tip to the right tip (overall horizontal length): 28 inches

From top tip of big jewel to bottom of the staff (overall vertical length): 18 1/7 inches

Overall width of the staff itself: 1/2 inches

Big jewel, top to bottom: 8 1/2 inches
Big jewel, top horizontal length: 3 1/7 inches
Big jewel, bottom horizontal length: 1 3/4 inches

Small gems average at 7/8 of an inch.

Total weight is less then a pound.

The staff was made by two pieces of foam board cut out, glued together, and the sides were sealed and sanded by paper clay.

The big jewel was made out of cut and layered clear vinyl and painted with water mixed with acrylics. The bottom of the jewel is actually cut out as so allow the small light inside. It is held onto the staff by glue near the top and widest horizontal part of jewel.

The inner part of the staff was painted by mixed acrylics with the inner designs done by puffy paint. Originally, I planned on cutting out the inner designs with craft foam, although time wasn't on my side for that, thus the puffy paint.

I will be giving the staff head a final paint touch up and will also include two extra lights for the jewel.
