This skirt contains one of the Bleach poems--that is, the poems at the beginning of every Bleach volume. This poem is from volume 29, "The Slashing Opera" which features Cirucci Thunderwitch on the cover, and it is thought to be her poem. It's halcyonjazz's Live Journal translation.
Here's the part of the poem on the front ribbons:
"In my desperation, I'll dress myself up,
even while knowing you'll cut me down
In my desperation, I"ll polish myself to a shine,
even while knowing you'll cut me down"
Back ribbons:
"Oh it was terrible, how it was terrible
when you once did just that
You lopped off all my hair
and left me looking like you did when you died"

Size: This is a piece meant to be worn on the hips, and can be anything from 36" up to 40"
Pieces Included: Skirt, two ribbon attachments (shown attached) that can be removed for washing
Fabric: The plaid is a skirt from goodwill, and the black fabric is a plain black cotton with red paint splattered on it.
Construction: For this skirt, I started with the plaid and basically just went after it with my scissors. It has a zipper and button closure in the front that was original to the skirt. All hems not sewn up have either been painted, zig-zagged, or fray-checked so they will not unravel.
Price: I'm hoping for $50, but if you cannot afford this, I am willing to bargain or take trades. Just ask! I can also do layaway for a week or take payment in installments.
Status: Never worn
Notes: Though this skirt looks like it's falling apart, it's really quite sturdy. Everything is sewn on, with the exceptions of the ribbons, which are sewn onto pins so they can come on and off the skirt, in case you need to wash it or feel the need to move them around. The skirt is washable, although I advise hand-washing it. It probably could be machine-washed with no ill-effects though.
Payment style: I prefer paypal, but will take money order, check, or concealed cash in a pinch.
