I posted this on another Matt-cosplayer's ad about a vest:

I'm a Matt cosplayer also, and I "made" my own Matt vest (kind of). xD
All I did was I went out and bought a zip-up fleece vest.

but mine was a lighter tan-color. Of course, you could use whatever color you wanted!]]
You can normally buy something like this in a department store (mine was JCPenney), or if you're lucky, you may be able to find something you like in a Goodwill store or something! (Check there first! Especially if you're on a budget!).
Then I bought a few yards of white, furry edging (which I found at JoAnn fabrics, a fabric store near my house. Any good sized fabric store should have something like that, maybe even the craft section at WalMart)!
Then I used what little sewing skills I possess (which isn't much) to just stich the edging onto the vest.
This is what mine ended up looking like (sorry the flash on the camera made the white look super-crazy! xD):

It's a little makeshift, but it definitely worked. And I accomplished it for about $15-$17.

And because I have big feet, I have not come across a decent pair of boots for myself (almost found some at HotTopic on clearance, so if you have a reasonable shoe size, you can probably check there!)
