This is the most complex and intricate costume I've made to date, and now is your chance to profit off of my extreme poverty! Yuuko is my baby, and I put a lot of work and effort into her.
This riding habit has a beautiful jacket with boning inserted into the seams for support and smoothness, and a cream underskirt with a hidden pocket and over 13 yards in the ruffle alone. The asking price might seem steep, but the workmanship is worth it. This costume is durable and has withstood a lot of wear since its construction in 2006 very well.
What I am selling:
-hand-covered parasol
-top hat with bird
-head banners
-three skirts (underskirt and two overskirts)
-styled wig
-velvet jacket with bow
what is NOT included
-bustle (you will have to provide your own support. A pillow on the butt will work fine)
-white gloves (trust me- you don't want mine)
-riding crop (it broke)
-tights and thigh highs
-shoes
This costume is meant to be worn over a corseted silhoutte. Nothing too extreme, just something to smooth things out. The front of the costume does not have any closures- you must be sewn into it. Hey- that's how royalty did it, right?
It takes about five minutes, and the stitched disappear into the velvet. No big deal.
The size of the costume is for a bust of about 32 inches, waist 24-27 inches, and free hip due to the cut of the skirt.
