What got you into cosplay?
Yaoi. Random, but it's true. I always wanted to 'dress up like the characters', but I never really knew it existed until I first watched Gravitation back in 2005. My favorite character was Tohma Seguchi and I google'd some sites on him, and found cosplay pics. There begins the madness.
What was your first costume and why?
Technically it was Tohma Seguchi at AnimeNext '05. No pics and I'm glad. Second cosplay with pics would have to be Xigbar from KH2 for MangaNext 06'.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Daisya Barry from D.Gray-Man. It's a simple costume, but I still love the character despite him dying in like 2-3 episodes. Soccer, a bell, purple make-up and just personality make me love the character and wearing the costume so much.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
At the moment it's Gamma Akutabi from Zombie Powder.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Two for me-MangaNext '06. I met so many people there, and if it wasn't for joining Nitro Nonsense I might not still be cosplaying. Second is Katsucon '08-met so many great people this year and it was just so much. Katsu's my favorite con so this years was just perfect.
Do you participate in masquerades?
I've only been in two, but they've both been fun.
What was your best masquerade experience?
Otakon '07-- "It's Candy Mountain, Charlie!" Kingdom Hearts 2 / Final Fantasy: Advent Children version. We were so screwed 'cause half the people didn't even know they were in a skit and it was chaotic. We got A LOT of hate for it, especially since there were 2 other Candy mountain refs in the other skits, but it was still a lot of fun.
