First anime I ever saw was Sailor moon - but I didn't realize it was an anime. Then came DBZ - and then pokemon. While geeking out over those shows some friends in High school introducted me to :::drum roll::: FANSUBS!! First subbed show I watched was Fushigi Yuugi and first manga was Ranma 1/2 ...... after that, my life as an Otaku started.
