What got you into cosplay?
It's just so much more fun to attend a convention in costume rather than be your own self. There's something enjoyable about working hard on something and getting to show it off.
I really think my sister is what keeps me into cosplay and having fun. I'm not confident enough to go in cosplay alone without my cosplay partner... I like having someone at my side and helping me keep track of my cosplays and posing with.
What was your first costume and why?
Angel Lily from Wedding Peach. It was definitely a learning experience...
The first real costume I actually got techincal on, however, was my Uchiha Sasuke cosplay in 2006 when my sister and I decided to work together as a team and make costumes together. It's fully lined and all the seams are finished. I tried my hand for one of the first times styling and cutting a wig too. All in all, I look back at the costume and see so many flaws, but it's one of the costumes I'm completely proud of.
What is your favorite costume and why?
To date its my Mitsuki audition dress. It's absolutely amazing to be able to see yourself transform into someone and look just like them at the end of the transformation. I think I'm a lot like Mitsuki in appearance and heart. I've been told I have the heart of a child and I think that really gets to shine through when I wear this cosplay. <3
In a very close second is my Uchiha Sasuke cosplay. It was the first real cosplay I made with my sister after forming our cosplay team. It really has a lot of meaning into it and I really feel like a part of Sasuke's personality is implanted in me now (which really isn't so bad). I love how much people enjoy these cosplays and how well my sister and I's chemistry is in these.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
One of Susan Pevensie's dresses from the Chronicles of Narnia complete with weapons. I've been a fan od C.S. Lewis for ages and I think Disney did a wonderful job detailing all the outfits and weapons to suit the characters.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?

Do you participate in masquerades?
Sure! I love masquerades, but recently I've been staying away from entering contests for a chance to do things like panels and events or even sometimes judging. I've always found behind-the-scenes stuff lets me learn so much more.
What was your best masquerade experience?
Every opportunity I've had to work on and practice a skit with my sister has been time I've valued. We haven't done many skits, but we have done walk-ons (which I'm a lot more comfortable with) and those are always nice to do with someone who's there to compliment you.

Craftsmanship First Place at MechaCon 1.0 (2005) for my Sango taijiya.
Best Skit First Place at MechaCon 2.0 (2006) for our Full Moon wo Sagashite skit.
Best of Show - Novice division at AWA XII (2006) for our Sasuke and Naruto cosplays.
Best Journeysman - MTAC Prime (2007) for our Hitachiin Cheshire cats.
Judge's Award - Anime Matsuri (2007) for our Sasuke and Naruto cosplays.

Tell us a little about yourself
I'm a senior in college and I'm majoring in biology and minoring in literature. I'm planning on persuing a career in nursing once I'm finished my undergraduate work. I still haven't decided which branch in nursing seems to interest me the most, but I'm thinking either psychiatrics or forensics.
The love of my life is Jesus. I'm passionately persuing Him.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
I had a kitty named Mitsuki who inspired me every day to live life and enjoy it. She'll always be in my heart.
Three new kitties have entered my life and really inspired me to be a more lovable and loving person. Obviously, being the nerd I am their names are Naruto, Sasuke, and Sakura. Naruto passed away also, but, like Mitsuki, he is in my heart and make up a big part of who've I've been shaped into.

I'm just getting into the gaming scene, but it's a huge impact on what I'm planning cosplay-wise in the future. Currently I'm in love with the Kingdom Hearts series and Final Fantasy VII.
