What got you into cosplay?
I really, really wanted to do Tsukasa's costume from .hack//SIGN for Halloween one year, then I sort of took it to my first convention. ^^ After finding out more about cosplay, and seeing so many great costumes at the convention, I just kind of kept with it.
What was your first costume and why?
Um....See above. *looks up*
What is your favorite costume and why?
Currently, it is my Dagger costume. One big reason is that I simply adore Dagger's character, and the pendant she wears is so pretty (and heavy x.x). Also, because I think I look decent in it. I'm not skinny skinny, and I always felt iffy about that costume when I was still planning it, since it was skin-tight and all. I was happy with it when it was finished and I started wearing it around though. :D
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
My current dream costume is Garnet's gown, and have it well-made enough so that I can wear it outside of cosplay. I would love to pull that together, but the embroidery and cost scares me. x.x
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Just meeting so many different cosplayers at Anime Boston. They're all so talented, and I love getting pictures taken and taking pictures. Also, all kinds of crazy situations and random moments can come up. Like one time someone told me I walked like Yuna. I was dressed up as Summoner Yuna at the time, but I still thought it was quite a compliment that I completely did not expect.
Do you participate in masquerades?
Not yet, but I would love to in the future.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
I won "Most in Character" at Bakuretsucon '05 as Summoner Yuna.
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm currently attending college in Burlington, Vermont. I'm studying electronic game design, and love being up here. I'm originally from Rhode Island, and started cosplaying there while I was in high school. I believe I was in 10th grade at the time.
My younger sister also cosplays and is also on the site. Her username is Resha.
Besides cosplaying, my hobbies include gaming, reading, writing fanfiction, hanging out with friends, listening (and sometimes playing) music, and collecting boxes.
