What got you into cosplay?
I don't have a good answer for this. I think if you're going to conventions it's sort of inevitable.
Of course, some of us are just more inclined towards it than others...but personally, I just get a lot of satisfaction and enjoyment out of cosplay. Always have- ever since I first put on a black pair of MY LITTLE BROTHER'S UNDERWEAR along with my red rubber boots (and nothing else) at the age of six, proclaiming myself the "brave and gentle and wise" ASTRO BOY. (my brother, incidentally, was given the title of Astro Boy's Sister, whose name at the time I didn't bother to learn... he did not like that game very much). We were a very liberal family. O.o lol
What was your first costume and why?
Hmm... my first costume that I would say really "counts" as cosplay (since it was worn at a convention and I went as "all out" as I could at the time) was my Duo Maxwell, which I wore to CNAnime in 2004 (or 2003... I can't remember!). The Gundam Wing series had long since left its mark on me, and Duo has always been a favourite, so when I made the decision to cosplay that year, he was the obvious choice. Sadly I do not have any pictures anymore (this was pre-digicam era for me, although others took a couple if I do recall).
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Hands down- Halloweentown Sora w/ Keyblade.

My favourite manga include Fruits Basket, Loveless, Basara, Hot Gimmick, Ranma 1/2, and a slew of BL comics, because I'm perverted like that. ^_^
I also like historical fiction, and novels by Neil Gaiman, Anne Rice and J T Leroy.
