What got you into cosplay?
I always loved to dress up, and Halloween had to be my favorite holiday. I went to MangaNEXT '06 and once I saw all the cosplayers, I fell in love.
What was your first costume and why?
My first costume had to be Ichigo from Tokyo Mew Mew for Halloween back in '05. I just loved the character, and who doesn't like a cat girl named Strawberry? Though, my first actual costume that has been recognized is Belldandy from Ah! My Goddess, even though it was bought online. My first costume that I sewed myself was Suigintou form Rozen Maiden.
What is your favorite costume and why?
I love all my costumes! Belldandy is so beautiful and fun to wear. Though, Ed Elric (FMA) is widely recognized and it's fun to be stopped for pictures and whatnot. Suigintou is just awesome (In my opinion) and I'm really loving the end result.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
My dream cosplays would have to be Misha from Pita Ten, and Mitsuki from Full Moon O Sagashite.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
My most memorable experience has to be going to New York Anime Festival and getting a lot of attention as Ed Elric, even though I knew there were many better Ed's than I.
Do you participate in masquerades?
Only as the audience.
What was your best masquerade experience?
Just watching 'em.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
No, just complements from school as Belldandy.
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm in Middle School, and I'm having a pretty good time. It just takes up all that spare time I [don't] have. I'm on my High School's Winter Guard, and I currently spin both sabre and flag. It's my second year on sabre, and mythird year on Guard. My hobbies are: reading, writing, drawing, sewing, and Guard.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
I love watching 'Ghost Hunters', 'Mythbusters', and 'Ace of Cakes'. Beacuse, baking cakes, hunting ghosts, and explodings things never felt any better?
My favorite anime
Rozen Maiden, FullMetal Alchemist, and Best Student Council, Air, Higurashi no Naku Koro Ni/Kai, Princess Nine, and Code Geass.
My favorite game(s)
Kingdom Hearts one and two, Super Smash Bros. Melee/Brawl, Patapon (even though I have yet to pkay it, and the system to play it on),Bumble Bee (y'know, the hand clapping cup game?), Animal Crossing/Wild World/City Folk (getting that soon), Wii Sports, FullMetal Alchemist: Dual Sympathy, Nintedogs, and Octomania.
