About Me / Q&A

What got you into cosplay?
Going to Anime North for the first time, and seeing all the Cosplayers. This made me want to give it a try.
What was your first costume and why?
Juji Kabane from Gungrave Overdose (PS2). I was playing the game around the time I had first heard of FanExpo, and thought it would be great to cosplay as Juji.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Juji, because I liked how the blinder looked.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
NCR Veteran Ranger -- Riot Gear (Fallout New Vegas)
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
When my friend cosplayed Bunji as my partner, and went with me to get Yasuhiro Nightow's autograph. The way he reacted when he saw us was priceless.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Hall Costume award (Fan Expo 2011)
Tell us a little about yourself
As far as my alias goes, I'm known as both Hitsukei and/or Beyond Despair. For the most part, I'm a rather avid gamer who's currently pursuing a career in game industry. I've always been interested in video games, having been playing and collecting them all my life. Working with programs like Maya and Mudbox, I prefer modeling characters over animating them and aim to continue learning new techniques for both. Aside from digital graphics and gaming, I'm interested in anime, manga, horror movies, sketching, reading, table-top gaming, gunpla, prop design, cosplay, and role playing. Additionally, I'm fond of not only collecting games and old consoles, but also figures, usually of game related characters.
