As a 21 year old English major, I don't have a lot of time. What time I do have is all focused tightly around the summer months. Summertime is when I produce new cosplays and go crazy with prop making.

If you see me at a con, feel free to say hello. I love making new friends -- it's the main reason I do this crazy cosplay thing!

Cosplay started out as something interesting to do, but now it's one of my favorite hobbies. A lot of the new generation of cosplayers are way younger than I am, but as long as there are 30 year olds running around at cosplays (and wearing amazing FF12 cosplays!), I'll still be cosplaying and rocking out with friends at cons.

What got you into cosplay?
Ah, I suppose an obsession with Japanese culture. A few friends were excited about cosplay and I was about to go to my first con, so I thought: "Why not?" Since then I've gotten more obsessed. I don't stress if a cosplay isn't perfect, though. I mainly use cosplaying as a way to meet other people as silly as myself.
What was your first costume and why?
Final Fantasy X Yuna. Because... I suppose she's one of my favorite characters. And she has my natural hair colour ^_~! She was also in the first game I ever played on the PS2, so there you are.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Most likely Reno. Though I've only seen the Advent Children movie, I love trying to be IC!Reno. This means a lot of sauntering and general silliness. ...and I admit it. I love the random hugs I get.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
FFX-2 Songstress Yuna or Brawl's Marth. Either one would make me squiggle in joy to walk around in.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
There's too many to choose from! As Reno there was the time I met up with the rest of the Shinra ranks and a random reenactment of dropping the Jenova box off a high balcony occurred. Much silliness was had trying to catch the box, then running like hell from the rest of the Shinra guys. As Axel there was the time that a Nobody!Roxas snuck up behind me and 'kidnapped' me to join an Organization group. And said Roxas then tried to make me dance to "Hips Don't Lie" ...there are so many more!
Do you participate in masquerades?
When I get the chance, I do.
What was your best masquerade experience?
Eh, so far I haven't really had what I would call a best experience. I'll get back to you on this.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
I won first place at my local Suncoast's cosplay contest with my FFX Yuna cosplay. I have that to thank for my Jack Skellington coffee mug and my Edward Elric figures. They're all quite nice. Recently (2009), I snagged third place with FFX Yuna in Anime Alabama's (Mobile, AL) cosplay contest.
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm nearly at the end of my college career. I have two sisters who both cosplay and I'm on staff for Alabama's new Kamicon (April 25-26, 2009). Both of my sisters cosplay. My 19 year old sister specializes in complicated sewing, my 7 year old sister specializes in being cute. The 7 year old won her first cosplay contest prize at Kamicon '09. At college, I studied Japanese for two years, then moved on to working towards my English major and Creative Writing minor. I love to draw, but what I hope to do as a career is to write fantasy novels. I have several nearing completion. I sell liquor in my hometown during the summer. XD At the beach.
