What got you into cosplay?
Anime, Video Games and other eXtreme Visually based media. I love eXtreme clothing and just to look out of the norm. Clothing that just brings out exciting expressions.
What was your first costume and why?
My first cosplay was Gaara from Naruto. I loved making the giant Gord! It was awesome! The rest of the cotume was crap but I had a lot of fun with my Gord!
What is your favorite costume and why?
My favorite costume I did was my Malice Mizer Klaha VK costume from the Beast of Blood video. It was really well done except my makeup still needed work. I was like a panda hahaha.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Yes I do actually. I would love to do either a K-Pirate from Outlaw Star or the Bel Air Gackt Jacket. That was absolutely amazing!
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Oh, at Sakuracon 2005 I feel forward with my gord on my back and got glomped to pieces! Vulnerability was my biggest problem with wearing that gourd.
Do you participate in masquerades?
Yes I do be it at conventions or get events that are going on near where I live.
What was your best masquerade experience?
I would have to say a party that was hosted by my friends a couple years back.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
No actually. I got in the top 3 before.
Tell us a little about yourself
My name is Derek and I will be starting school in September at the BCC. I currently work in Security and club promoting. I love both my jobs very much. Getting paid to sit on my but or to go out dancing wearing the clothing I love.
Hmmm. My hobbies consist of working, games, clothing design, photography, modeling, electronics, martial arts, drawing and animal care.
