What got you into cosplay?
In junior high my friend (the one who got me into cosplay and headed our groups) wanted to do Final Fantesy 7 costumes for Halloween. This being my absolute favorite holiday ever (dressing up in awesome costumes seems to be a hobby of mine) and without knowing a think about FF or video games agreed.
What was your first costume and why?
The above was my frist, but it was so thrown together and bad (pretty sure I don't have it any more). The first real costume (and I still have it) was Megumi from Kenshin.
What is your favorite costume and why?
It will have to be my Rena from Star Ocean in 2004.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Several. Though I think Hino Sakura's (from Naruto) special outfit/Kimono, the one where there is only one existing picture of, is my dream. The rest are random outfits from all of CLAMP's works (mostly Sakura from TRC and Legal Drug).
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
The first time I cosplayed for ACEN in 2003--my first time at an anime convention. I was Eiko Carol from FF9. (we were the group who did the X-Box riot at the statue.)
Do you participate in masquerades?
Yes, even if it's just a walk on.
What was your best masquerade experience?
Would have to be ACEN 2004. My group and I did Star Ocean and I was the Rena. We won Judges Choice award for our skit (a Steven Lynch song were Claude and Ashton sang about molesting each other while drunk).
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Not for costumes. But in 2009 I hope to have a Sakura-hime (from TRC) costume done. I will have it judged (novice category) for sure. *hopes for good luck*
Tell us a little about yourself
Right now I'm a poor college student--I'll be graduation in Decemeber. That's the reason why I've been out of cosplay for the past four years. But I hope to make a come back in 2009.
Sadly I have some typical girl hobbies (I really like to make stuff): sewing & scrap booking. Then there is the typical: reading, writing, doodling, out door fun stuff.
