What got you into cosplay?
Husband is interested in anime.
What was your first costume and why?
Sailor Moon & Tuxedo Mask, because we had all the materials to throw those both together in a day or two. (I've never actually seen an episode.)
What is your favorite costume and why?
Buu. Fat Buu. Premiered at Anime Weekend Atlanta (AWA) 2007, and everyone loved us. We had hardly any repairs to make, and he could wear it for 30-45 minutes at a time. Also, we could fit it in our car, and it only took one trip to bring it in the building.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Escaflowne - our next costume, planning to premiere it at AWA 2009. We've been thinking about building it since 2004.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
When we cosplayed as Wing Zero (made out of duct tape) and Duo at AWA 2004. People flocked to see us, they put us in the costume contest at the last minute, and at the contest, people started chanting "Gundam! Gundam! Gundam!" before they even announced us, when we walked up on the stage. It was great. We won "audience favorite."
