What got you into cosplay?
A Haloween party, actually--I already loved anime and I love dressing up, this was just a short step away...

Commander Amarao from FLCL, it was fairly easy and he's probably my favorite character from the series, which happens to be my favorite OVA--If that's not reason enough to do a character I don't know what is...
What is your favorite costume and why?
Hands down my Lord Canti--when its not malfunctioning in some way. Really, for all its shortcomings, it really is pretty popular at cons. -- Lord Canti v. 2.0 is nearing completion, fixing most of the problems with old Canti and generally making it better, so.....
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
As I type this, my dream costume is about a day away from me, sitting in my basement waiting for a few final coats of paint--Lord Canti, the robot from FLCL... Wow that's been a journey...
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Easily, at Anime Iowa 2004 when I organized a raid on the downtown Des Moines Starbucks. Me and like 7-8 other people in costume burst into the Starbucks and got coffee, those poor normal people, probably scarred for life, especially the order-taker person, I gave him The Eyebrow...
Do you participate in masquerades?
This next con in March, Andime Detour 2K5, will be my first, I will get a chance to show off my Lord Canti...
What was your best masquerade experience?
Not quite there yet... heh, though I think some are on the way.....
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
No... Maybe Canti...--Hah! Called it, Hall Cosplay award for Canti at Anime Detour 2005... Then Canti again Emcee's Choice at Detour 06... and then Canti again Judge's Choice Anime Iowa 06...

Um... uh... Middle of nowhere Iowa--but currently attending Iowa State University--COME LOOK ME UP, THERE ARE NO COSPLAYERS IN THIS 27,000 PERSON CAMPUS... well, I'm sure there are, but they hide... very well...
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
I enjoy cheese. My favorite colors are tied between blue and red. I feel rather tired. I'm going to go work on my costume some more. I just got back, now I'm going to write some more stuff. Generally if something is green, I won't eat it. I like sweet things. Kitties make me smile. I'm going to go work on my costume some more.
