Well, for starters, my real name is Alana, and I am going to be a senior! Hehe, I'm so excited about that. I can't believe I have been cosplaying for so long...

Yes, believe it or not, I do have a substantial life outside of the Internet and anime conventions -- I maintain good grades, several friends, and even a job! This summer, I've ben going to Stanford and taking college courses: General Psychology, Cognitive Psychology, Writing and Rhetoric (Conflicts in Art), and Tennis. :3 It's been such an incredible experience! I mean, I've lived in Texas all my life, and now I've finally gone to California - to one of the most prestigious universities in the nation!! Hopefully, I'll be accepted to Stanford, and then I'll be within range of some of the most famous conventions of all time, like Yaoi Con and Anime Expo!! Also, I am absolutely in LOVE with San Francisco. It's a lot like Austin, except with prettier weather, MUCH bigger, and a far inferior music scene. :P But I would really like to make my home in San Fran someday -- it's a great city, but I'll be really sad to leave all of my beloved Texas conventions.

Let's see, what else? I love raves. Really, one third of my convention experience is the raves. Dancing is an enormous passion of mine. And getting dressed is tons of fun too! It's a fashion that coordinates more with what I wear almost every day: bright colors, heavy gaudy jewelry... it's tons of fun, and I wish I could attend more raves outside of the convention scene.

I also love writing, psychology, music, video games... ooh, and roleplaying. NO, I DO NOT MEAN THOSE DUMB INTERNET ROLEPLAYING MMORPGs LIKE WORLD OF WARCRAFT. I mean participating with other writings over forums and instant messenger. I've been roleplaying since I was in 5th grade (I created my first legitimate character on December 5th, 2001), and I like to consider myself an Advanced Literate - i.e., a lot of my posts exceed 1000 words. I love long roleplays of that nature, and I've even extended my mediums to Live Action Roleplaying - that is, I adopt the character and roleplay with someone in person. It's a lot like acting, actually, which brings me to another pursuit of mine: theatre. I think my three greatest passions - theatre, psychology, and writing - are all tied in the sense that they analyze and develop character, as well as encourage the "artists" to take the lid off of the box and explore the contents with a broader outlook on life. All three of these things, in a way, strengthen me as a cosplayer, I guess. :D

Well, um, as far as specific cosplaying goes, I have only done two main cosplays: Rabi~en~Rose from Di Gi Charat, and Demyx from Kingdom Hearts II. Heh, pretty different sides of the spectrum, I know, but they're equally as much fun. I've done rave versions of both, but I think I'm going to be augmenting and using him for a longer period of time. He's so much fun!! He's featured in several deviantart pictures and youtube videos (if you're inte
