What got you into cosplay?
My love of theatre. I started performing Shakespeare in high school and found that I had the most fun helping to design and create the costumes.
What was your first costume and why?
Mikuru Asahina, maid version from The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya. Because my friend was doing a Haruhi group and she said so. It's really not my favorite series, character or cosplay.
What is your favorite costume and why?
PYRO. I spent so long on this costume, it's my baby.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I would die happy if I could make an accurate Helghast officer costume from Killzone 2. Maybe Colonel Radec.
Do you participate in masquerades?
Sac Anime 2009 was my first ever masquerade. The skit was only about 20 seconds long, but it was fun and seemed to go over well with the crowd. Definitely going to be doing this again.
Tell us a little about yourself
Fifth year psychology major at Santa Clara University, but I have no idea what I want to do with myself after that. Graduate school is tempting, as I love neuropsychology. May try for the FBI profiling team at some point.
Hobbies are random and all over the place: cosplay, video games, anime, books, film, music, theatre (directing and acting), fixing computers, rowing, skiing, cycling, writing, and anything else that catches my attention for a few minutes.
