What got you into cosplay?
Being someone different, having fun, telling a story, challenging myself with my own improvement as cosplayer...
What was your first costume and why?
My first REAL attempt was "The Crow", the original one, the great and beloved Brandon Lee (may his memory rest in peace). I didn't knew what "cosplay" was, I didn't even knew the word itself but I always had the idea of representing a fictional character in every possible means. So that's what I did for a Halloween party to raise funds for our highschool graduation: I cosplayed The Crow from Brandon Lee and The Crow series. It was a success, and it was fun to know years later that I made a "crossplay" on my first real attempt to "cosplay". Maybe that's why I love crossplaying? Sadly, I have no pics of it, my classmates were scared of me that night... wussies.
What is your favorite costume and why?
So long so far, my favorite has been Saber. It shows my improvement as a cosplayer, though, I don't like the character that much. And plus to that, that costume and that sword were made for great cosplayers, whom I admire so much, so I feel flattered and I hope I can be as good as they are. I have my cossmakes as a memento of it...
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
We all have one of course! But mine will be a surprise, bwa ha ha ha ha!!
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
I had so much fun on the FF Collective, it was fun sharing a cosplay experience with such a large team (we we're about 8 cosplayers) and having all that much attention from the audience. Many girls asked me for my phone number that day, I was all embarassed to confess the truth: I was a girl, actually. And the cosplay of Saber was totally satisfying because it was the first time we compete in another city and traveled in a cosplay group. It was tiresome, stressing but in the end the fans made our work worthy with all their compliments and photos. The contest was awful, I must confess, but the experience was rewarding.
Do you participate in masquerades?
NEVER! I have always dreamed of attending one! In my city we never have had one of those. I hope to attend one someday before I die...
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
I barely compete... but yes, I have a few.
Tell us a little about yourself
Yes I hate my job [who doesn't?] but I love my profession. I live with my mother, I love to draw, to cosplay, the chocolates, the cats and I am a big fan of video games [PS3 4 ever]. After that I think I'm a boring and simple person...
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
Turn on's: chocolate, bad-asses, dragons, role play, sincerity, black-haired guys, smart people, gamers, suikoden fans, butterflies, dragons, drawing, music, friends.
My favorite anime
One Piece definitely. Everything else it's just fine :P Just joking. I love Claymore, Shaman King, School Rumble and some other animes that I can't remember at the moment... damn...
