What got you into cosplay?
I've always loved dressing up for Halloween, and I've been a fan of anime since I was 12. I never had a chance to go to an anime convention, but always wanted to cosplay! Finally this year I was able to put together a costume for my first con, Metrocon!
A few of my friends cosplay as well, and they give me support and encouragement!
What was your first costume and why?
My first costume was Jeri from Digimon Tamers because it was an easy(er) costume and I love her character so much (and Tamers is my fave season!). I wanted to cosplay as someone who I "knew", rather than someone I didn't know too much about.
I think it turned out real good!
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Cure Black from Futari wa Pretty Cure, but that'll never happen XD
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Just going around and meeting everyone! And having my picture taken ^^
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm currently entering my junior year at the Savannah College of Art and Design in Savannah, GA. I want to be a children's book illustrator, although I like photography too.
I have two jobs right now :D I work part-time at a tea room, and part-time at an ice cream store. I love both of my jobs and I love the people I work with so it's all good.
Although I'm (very) new to cosplaying, I am definitely not new to anime. I've been a fan ever since the early 90's, when anime was all the rage in the states X)
My favorite anime
Digimon, Pokemon, Fullmetal Alchemist, Beyblade, Yu-Gi-Oh, Pretty Cure, Tokyo Mew Mew, Magipoka, Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha, Hamtaro, Futago Hime and Naruto, just to name a few X)
Basically if it's mahou shoujo, has fantasy elements, or is about monsters battling each other, I'll probably like it XD
I don't watch too much anime now that I'm a junior in college, but I want to watch Soul Eater, Code Geass, Lucky Star, Higurashi and Shugo Chara someday!
My favorite game(s)
Any Sonic the Hedgehog game, any Mario game, any Pokemon game, Okami, Nintendogs, Soul Calibur, stuff like that
