What got you into cosplay?
I have a friend (rukawagf) who loves to cosplay. I'd been considering cosplay but was reluctant to start because of costs and the effort requirement. Littlsalt convinced me to start at Nekocon 5 (2002) with something simple.
What was your first costume and why?
Omi Tsukiyono, because I look like him and there was no sewing involved. ^^; I'd 'cosplayed' him at school for a friend who was wild about him, so I assembled the costume in full a few days before and attended. I had the wrong color shoes, though.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Hm. Most recently, Zidane Tribal since I get to flirt with all the ladies (and surprisingly enhance their self-esteem) - and the costume is incredibly comfortable.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Something so unbelievably complicated and elaborate and with such an amazing prop that it turns all heads in the con. XD
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Either Naruto, asking all Sakuras to date me, or Zidane, asking all women to date me. Er ... it's a tossup. XD;
Do you participate in masquerades?
One walk-on, and two skits. I'd like to do more.
What was your best masquerade experience?
Dancing like an idiot at Otakon 2008 in my Sora costume to the song 'How Does She Know?' from Enchanted. LOL Giselle/KH2 crossover!
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
I won Best In Class (craftsman) at the masquerade at Otakon 2008 for my Kingdom Hearts/Enchanted skit, although the credit for the Best in Class award really goes to Ambrosia/Ryoko/Krys because her Giselle was total win.
BEST IN SHOW: Anime USA 2006,
BEST IN CLASS (Craftsman): Anime Boston 2007,
BEST IN CLASS (Craftsman): Otakon 2008,
BEST PERFORMANCE (Craftsman class): Anime USA 2008
