What got you into cosplay?
For years and years, I'd wanted to cosplay. I just never had anyone to cosplay with me and so I never went to a con. Then I went to college with Fishbone and we've been going to conventions together since then.
What was your first costume and why?
Does the Shinsengumi cosplay I did for Halloween in 2003 count?
What is your favorite costume and why?
Zuko, from Avatar: The Last Airbender (Season 3). This was my first cosplay that wasn't found-item based, so a lot of time and effort went into figuring out patterns and the actual sewing process. Not only does it look good, but it gets lots of love at conventions!
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Someday I want to make every costume that Fai (Tsubasa) wears during the series.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Hanging around with the Cabbage Man at Cleveland ColossalCon in '08.
Do you participate in masquerades?
Not yet, but I plan on it eventually.
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm currently about to start my fourth year of college, though I may decide to add on classes in education and math. I love my parents to death, and I might actually be able to talk my papa into a cosplay or two. My two brothers are too lame to even consider a cosplay.
