About Me / Q&A
What got you into cosplay?
I wanted something different for a Halloween costume rather then the same boring store bought ones. I decided to be a video game character and make my own. I didn't know it was cosplay at the time.
What was your first costume and why?
Rikku's Songstress. I had just played FFx-2 for my first time, and fell in love with the character and her dressphere.
What is your favorite costume and why?
When I had first started, I felt very proud of my Princess Zelda costume that I would update and improve on every year in Highschool. I had a bit of a reputation for wearing it on halloween.
Now looking back at all my improvements and accomplishments I'm most proud of my Sophitia Poseidon armor from SC4.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I'm working on one of them currently. Saber Lily with all her armor included and updating my Sailor Venus as well. One day I'd like to finish my ODST armor with my husband, but lets start small! haha
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
I went to Anime Expo for the first time in 2009 I believe. It was my first con, and I debuted my first real costume knowing it was a cosplay. I had worked so hard on Theif Rikku with my mom, it was so great to see people like it.
Do you participate in masquerades?
Yes actually! I just started participating in 2014! I'm still very inexperienced with the whole scene, but I hope to learn it quickly :)
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
I just won my first award! Saber Lily placed third in the video game category at Comikaze Expo 2014!
Tell us a little about yourself
Going into my final year at my Cal State, majoring in Illustration. I also was just recently married to my high school sweetheart in December. I can't be any more happier or blessed :)
My favorite anime
I'm a fan of the 90's esk anime. Sailor Moon, DBZ, Evengelion, Trigun and a few other classic shows. Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood is one that I can watch over and over and never grow tired of.
My favorite book(s)
