What got you into cosplay?
It's hard to say exactly what got me into cosplay anymore since it's been so long but I guess I've always been a cosplayer even if I only started taking it seriously and going to conventions recently. But for as long as I can remember I've been dressing up in costume and making props even when it wasn't Halloween. My skills as a seamstress have improved immensely over recent years but I'm still far from perfect and I still make a lot of amateur mistakes but that's part of the fun; learning and growing. =)
What was your first costume and why?
Back in the dinosaur age of the 90's my mom made costumes for us at Halloween at first it was normal stuff vampires, witches, werewolves and the like but as my interest in anime grew so did my desire to dress up as my favourite character at the time; Sailor Moon. Eventually I convinced my mom to make me her costume and in '98 me and my sister were the Sailor Scouts; Sailor Moon and Sailor Mercury. Since it was my first anime costume I will always consider it my first cosplay even if I didn't know it was cosplay back than I think I was always meant to be a cosplayer.
What is your favorite costume and why?
It's difficult to pick a favourite costume since I put so much love and time into making them it'd feel back for picking a favourite costume. =)
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
My dream cosplay without a doubt would be Prince from 1/2 Prince, but a lot has to be done before I will be able to cosplay him. His outfit is not overly difficult but has a lovely simplicity to it that I really adore. I really respect him as a character for the lengths he has goes in order to make others happy, without even realizing he's doing it. In the story (which is set some 90 years in the future) online game with unprecedented realism a 19 year old girl joins in hopes to best her twin brother and settle their gaming score for good. Due to stereotypes with female characters in games she ends up making a male character (the first and only trans in the game due to the games particular rules about gender). This game is so realistic that pain can be felt including from organs a "female" doesn't posses. Being transgender myself I can relate to a lot of issue that comes up for him. But I really respect Prince and because I respect him so much I really want to do the costume right, so I wont cosplay him until I can get my body into shape (lose weight and undergo top surgery) as this would be an open chest cosplay.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
I think your convention is always the most memorable because your usually so nervous and excited by all the sights and sounds, and while you may attend better conventions in the future nothing will ever replace your first con experience, good or bad. =) It's just not something you can replicate, and that feeling of exciting and nervousness will be something I'll remember forever.
Do you participate in masquerades?
I enjoy the chance to act though I have little talent for the spotlight, but for me its a chance to show off my costume while seeing how well I can remain in character.
What was your best masquerade experience?
My first masquerade was the scariest moment of my cosplay "career" (lol) but it was also the most exciting. I remember being so nervous that I started hyperventilating a little just before I went onstage. It was kind of scary but in a good way I think, because in the end I had a really good time. =) Even though I pretty much just ran on stage than ran off because I was too scared. Since than I've gotten more accustomed to masquerade crowds and my skill for skits and walk-ons has since improved... though not very much =p
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
I've won a few awards but nothing really extraordinary. Though I did win best in class for my Toothless costume at Ganime I was really excited since that was my first time entering in said division. =)
Tell us a little about yourself
Eat... Sleep... Work... and Poop.....
Pretty normal and boring if you ask me...
However I wouldn't be able to survive this monotonous life without my daily vitamins; anime, manga, games, and of course cosplay. xD
Is there anything else you'd like to add?

Rogue Galaxy (which they had a sequel)
The World Ends With You (great art style [Nomura FTW] good music and plot)
The Legend of Zelda the Twilight Princess (yes I finally got around to playing a Zelda game and I must say I was presently surprised, the graphics could do with some improvement but the art style is interesting and the plot is solid though it seems rushed at the beginning of the story. My only complaint... Why the hell doesn't Link's expression EVER CHANGE!? Oh and why doesn't anyone talk other than to yell or say "Hey!"? Lol I'm just used to listening to a game rather than reading one =P)
