What got you into cosplay?
I was dragged to FanimeCon 2004 by a friend, wearing a (mostly) storebought costume. Once I finally made my own, I realized how much fun it was and got super into it. I'm really struggling to improve, even if my sewing skills aren't perfect. I think I'm doing a lot better than I was, at least.
What was your first costume and why?
A female Sasuke costume, based on a friend's fanart, mostly storebought. My first totally handmade (besides the shorts) was normal Sasuke, but I used it for a curse-seal cosplay.
What is your favorite costume and why?
Currently, I'm in love with my Apollo Justice cosplay. I made most of it myself, so it's a lot of fun to wear.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
None at the moment... maybe Ky from Guilty Gear, or Nowe from Drakengard 2.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Most memorable would probably be Fanime 2004. It was my first con, I came home with tons of new friends, and we managed to start the Ninja Ninja ANBU tradition.
Do you participate in masquerades?
So far, I've only participated at the ones at the local Sacramento Anime conventions. I'm working up to it.
What was your best masquerade experience?
The best was getting to introduce the rules at SacCon in December of 2007. We had a large Phoenix Wright group and performed a mock-trial, which was amazing, even if I forgot a few lines.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
I've won a few awards at the local Sacramento conventions. Hoping to enter masqs at bigger conventions, though.
Tell us a little about yourself
I'm in college. Aiming for Berkeley, whoo. I like to draw, watch movies, and be on the internet. Exciting, I know.
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
I love meeting people and making new friends, but I'm always a little shy at first. But don't be afraid to say hello if you spot me anyway~
My favorite anime
There are a lot. I will admit to liking Naruto (though not the fillers), Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei, Ouran High School Host Club, Yami no Matsuei, Angel Sanctuary, Godchild, and some others.
My favorite game(s)
Phoenix Wright, Trauma Center, Fire Emblem, Drakengard, the Final Fantasy series (mainly 7 and 9), Guilty Gear, Kingdom Hearts I/II
My favorite book(s)
Lots. :O I really like Terry Pratchett.
My favorite character(s)
Currently? A bunch of Phoenix Wright characters, namely Phoenix himself and Apollo Justice. Hurr. :3
