What got you into cosplay?
I've always loved to dress up. In costumes and otherwise, so when my friend told me to sign up for Kumoricon with her, and we actually went........well it's been an addiction ever since.
What was your first costume and why?
My first cosplay costume was Belle, for the Kumoricon Swing Dance ('08). But in general, I think my first costume was a pumpkin.
What is your favorite costume and why?
I really like my Bubbles costume for The Powerpuff Girls. We kept getting people comming up to us saying 'OH MY GOD YOU'RE SO CUTE!' all the time. And I liked that dress. It was a fun cosplay to do.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
I have a few actually, but I can narrow it down to two big dream cosplays. Lulu ((Final Fantasy X)), and Hyatt ((Excel Saga))!
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
When I went to Kumoricon '08 (my first convention!), my friends and I would go to Lloyd Center, which was across from the hotel that Kumoricon was at. Little girls would come up to me, and tug on my dress and say 'Hello Belle!' and smile at me so wide and sweetly....it was amazing.
Do you participate in masquerades?
My first one was at this years Kumoricon ((2009)). I actually had alot of fun. ^^
What was your best masquerade experience?
That's the only one I've been to, so thats the only experience I have.
Have you won any awards for your costumes?
Well, at the Kumoricon Summer Swing '08, I won best Disney (again, I was Belle). And, as this next one isn't cosplay (in the strictest sense), I won the costume contest at the 'Breaking Dawn' release party.
Tell us a little about yourself
I've graduated from High School! ((YEAH!!!)) and am moving to Prineville, to go to college in Bend.
I love acting, and I love singing, and I love drawing and writing...I love the arts in general. It's my favorite area. I also am a big gamer. And reader.
When I start college this fall, I'm going to be majoring in Early Childhood Education, so as to become a kindergarten teacher. I am planning on joining both the theatre and the anime club at the school ((as I hear, that the college helps pay for the cons that the Otaku Squad goes to ^^)).
Is there anything else you'd like to add?
I like cheese and rainbow socks!
