What got you into cosplay?
After watching Magic Knight Rayearth (my first anime) I had the urge to make Hikaru's school uniform for Halloween. I didn't even know it was cosplay! But then I found out there were others like me... and it's all gone downhill from there.
What was your first costume and why?
Hikaru from MKR as it was cute and also plausible considering my talents at the time.
What is your favorite costume and why?
It's a toss-up between Terra from FFVI and my more recent costume of Karin from Shadow Hearts II. Both are well-made (although neither has been entered for crafstmanship judging), flattering, and fun to wear.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Juri Arisugawa from Shoujo Kakumei Utena. Just her school uniform, but very, very tailored. It would be a testament to darts everywhere. I still have the supplies for a Caska costume from Berserk and plan to make it SOME DAY.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
All of my time rehearsing and sewing with Cirque du Cosplay over the years. We're all such good friends and I'd love working with them, even under horrific stress.
Do you participate in masquerades?
You betcha.
What was your best masquerade experience?
I probably had the most fun doing Lady_Ava's Space Channel Alchemist skit from Katsucon 2005.

I live at home but am moving to the DC area this fall for pastry school. I love cake, Ollie, and birdies. Probably in that order.
