What got you into cosplay?
I love the idea of myself as a canvas to create other characters on - I was always pretending I was someone else when I was little, so it just carried over when I got into anime when I was older.
What was your first costume and why?
My first costume was Osaki Nana (from NANA), because I was really into the show at the time and it was something I could do relatively cheaply.
Do you have a dream costume you'd like to make?
Right now I'm salivating at the idea of a full camouflage/body armor Motoko Kusanagi (Stand Alone Complex continuity), complete with a screen-accurate replica firearm and a latex piece for the neck jacks. I also really want a Chroma (same series as above), and I'd love to do the Awaya Ringo kimono from the Shaman King manga.
What has been your most memorable cosplay experience?
Cosplaying Tao Jun with my brother as Ren. We got really into character with it; it was just a load of fun, and everyone loved us.
